Cast Iron Split Body Wafer End PFA Lined Butterfly Valve For Chemicals
The TEKO PFA lined butterfly valve is designed for general service applications up to limits of the 150psi rating. These general service applications focus on extremely corrosive media found in chemical processes The special design increase flow capacities but also reduces the pressure recovery factor making the design more susceptible to cavitation, flashing and flow noise generation.
We use the split body which is fastened by screws in the middle. The PFA/PTFE seal sleeves are molded and machines. The advantage of this design is that the sleeve can be replace when it breaks out. It will reduce the ownership cost.
The TEKO butterfly valve can be assembled with a pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, or electro-hydraulic actuator to complete the control valve construction.

Fluoropolymers are ideal for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical processing equipment because they have excellent chemical and thermal resistance. Their molecules have continuous non-reactive surfaces and are compatible with virtually all chemicals and solvents. They are far more resistant to chemical attack than conventional chlorinated and hydrocarbon polymers, and have far higher service temperatures.

From this original development there have been a number of other materials developed – trying to improve on the difficult processing characteristics of PTFE.
